Quickstart

Convert your first design into WordPress blocks in under five minutes.

This walks you through your first conversion using the Tapeto web app. No code required — if you want to automate this with the REST API instead, see API Reference.

  1. Create a free account at tapeto.dev/register. No credit card required — the Free plan includes 1 project per month.
  2. Create a project and upload your design. Tapeto accepts HTML/CSS bundles and Figma files on every plan; Penpot, Stitch, XD and Pencil are available from the Pro plan up.
  3. Choose a builder. Gutenberg is available on every plan. Elementor is available from Starter up; Oxygen, Divi and Bricks are available on higher plans — see Pricing for the full breakdown.
  4. Run the conversion and wait for the status to change from queued to processing to completed.
  5. Check the Fidelity Score. Anything above ~85% usually needs little to no manual cleanup.
  6. Export or push. Download the result as JSON or WXR, or push it straight to a connected WordPress site — see Connecting WordPress.

Pushing directly to WordPress

Direct push requires the Tapeto WordPress plugin installed and configured on the target site, plus an active connection from your Tapeto account.

What “Fidelity Score” means

The Fidelity Score estimates how closely the generated blocks match the original design — spacing, typography, image placement and structure. It’s computed per conversion and shown alongside the result so you know how much manual review to expect before publishing.
