Tapeto ("we", "our", or "us") operates tapeto.dev and related services. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
Data We Collect
When you create an account we collect your email address, name, and authentication credentials. When you use the service we collect design files you upload, conversion outputs, project metadata, and usage logs. When you subscribe to a paid plan we collect billing details via Stripe (we never store card numbers directly). We also collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited via PostHog and Microsoft Clarity.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to provide the conversion service, process payments, send transactional emails (receipts, password resets), improve the product through aggregated analytics, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Data Sharing
We share data only with trusted processors: InsForge (database and authentication infrastructure), Stripe (payment processing), PostHog (product analytics), and Microsoft Clarity (session recordings). Each processor is contractually bound to protect your data. We may disclose data if required by law.
Data Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. Project files and conversion outputs are retained according to your plan's history limit (30 days on Free, 90 days on Starter, 1 year on Pro, indefinitely on Agency and Studio). You may delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your data within 30 days.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You may also object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@tapeto.dev. If you are in the EEA you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
