Getting Started

What Tapeto does, how the pipeline works, and where to go next.

Tapeto converts design files — HTML/CSS, Figma, Penpot, and more — into working WordPress content. Instead of rebuilding a design by hand in Gutenberg or Elementor, you upload the source file, Tapeto parses it into an intermediate representation (IR), and generates native blocks for the builder you choose.

How a conversion works

  1. Upload or connect a design — an HTML/CSS bundle, a Figma file, or a public URL.
  2. Tapeto parses it into an IR — a structured, builder-agnostic representation of the layout, text, images and styles.
  3. A generator turns the IR into blocks — Gutenberg block grammar, Elementor JSON, or another supported builder’s format.
  4. You review the Fidelity Score — a 0–100 score that estimates how closely the generated output matches the source design.
  5. You export or push — download the result as JSON/WXR, or push it directly to a connected WordPress site.
